¡¡Invitation

It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 7th International Conference on Sustainable Energy Technologies "SET 2008", to be held in Seoul, Korea from 24 to 27 August, 2008.

Seoul has been the capital of Korea for more than 600 years, endowed with intrinsic beauty and culture. It has a unique blend of historic sites including beautiful ancient palaces, grand vistas, contemporary architecture, and an ideal temperate climate zone. Seoul will offer unforgettable experiences, where participants could enjoy an endless variety of interesting and exciting activities on top of their exciting presentations at the conference.

The SET (Sustainable Energy Technologies) Conference has been held every year since 2002. It has played a central role in providing an excellent forum for reviewing the present state-of-the-art low carbon technologies and discussing the proper direction to take in the development of sustainability as our legacy to the coming generation in this 21st century.

The first conference in Portugal (Porto, 2002), China (Chongping, 2003), United Kingdom (Nottingham, 2004), China (Shandong, 2005), Italy (Vicenza, 2006), and Chile (Santiago, 2007) were venues of the conference. In each conference, about 140 technical papers on the average were presented. This year, it is expected that more than 300 papers will be presented. It will be the largest in its scale compared to the previous conferences.

Especially, there will be a number of quality keynote and invited papers from famous scholars abroad: Robert F. Boehm (UNLV, USA), Qingyan Chen (Purdue University, USA), Michael R. Hoffmann (Caltech, USA), Noam Lior (University of Pennsylvania, USA), Shuzo Murakami (Building Research Institute, Japan) and Saffa B. Riffat (University of Nottingham, UK).

You can be a force that changes the world by taking part in SET 2008. We are looking forward to welcome you to Seoul in 2008.
